ACADEMIC CREDIT

Dear Student,
Often students who attend the Preceptorship can negotiate academic or elective credit with their own schools for their participation. Others are able to use the preceptorship to satisfy other school requirements. This downloadable course description can be presented to your dean or academic advisor to help them better understand how the preceptorship might qualify for such credit. Our office is available to help you in this negotiation process.

Elective rotation credit is available for third and fourth year medical students in family, preventative medicine, pediatrics, and internal medicine. In order for students to be eligible for an elective rotation at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, students need to have completed their core rotations. Credit will need to be negotiated and issued through your own school.

Again, our office is available to help you in this process. Please call 866-295-METS (6387) or email preceptorship@GoMETS.org us with any questions you may have.
